Below is a brief listing of some services I have provided to previous employers, many of which I can offer on a consulting basis:
- Energy Conservation Lighting Auditing and Design
- Delivered detailed audits for multiple stores of a retail electronics chain to lighting contractor for combined energy conserving upgrade and general maintenance relamping
- Construction supervision
- Supervised group relamping of multiple stores of a grocery store chain to an energy service company
- Supervised installation of water and energy conserving upgrades to over 2,000 apartments in government subsidised housing projects
- Recently contracted to provide construction oversight for energy conserving upgrades for a large housing authority including:
- Installation of eight boilers including complete demolition and upgrade of two boiler rooms
- Replacement of 24 steam-powered hot water tanks with steam-powered instantaneous hot water heat exchangers
- Replacement of all steam traps and valves in a twenty-four building complex
- Installation of lighting upgrades in both residential and common areas of four apartment complexes
- Utility Bill and Subsidy Analysis
- Routine analysis of customer energy bills for previous full-time employers' clients
- Analysed "Demand Side Management Program" subsidy from multiple energy suppliers for previous full-time employer's clients including estimation of long-term performance payments, development of ongoing measurement and verification plans, maintenance of monitoring equipment, and development of monitored "actual use" based performance billing programs
- Historical bill analysis as subcontractor for various ESCOs
- Rebate and Performance Based Energy Savings calculations for energy conservation projects in client facilities for various ESCOs
- Database Programming and Support
- Created Lighting Upgrade Analysis Database for internal use
- Created and continue to create various database programs related to individual projects, specirfically to enable improved reporting for various consulting subcontracts
- Developed, maintained, and supported billing programs for extended performance contracts
- Created "Lightweight Accounting Program" - basically a time and expense tracking program for my own consulting practice use (possibly to be released as "open source")
- Local and Wide-Area Computer Network Development
- Specified and supervised installation of telephone and computer networking for local office of former full-time employers
- Designed and installed telephone, computer, and cable-TV network in private home
- Extensive experience in telephone support for various end-user issues
- Network Consulting and Web Design - Often including original artwork such as design of buttons and integration of "packaged" code such as forums and feedback mailer scripts
